Meta Account Integration with GoWit

This document outlines the step-by-step process a marketplace account follows to connect their Meta Account (Facebook & Instagram) to the GoWit platform. This is a critical first step for enabling Off-Site Ads.


Part 1: Connecting & Authorizing the Meta Account

This part of the flow involves the user granting GoWit permission to access their advertising assets through a standard, secure Facebook authentication process.

Step 1: Navigate to Off-Site Settings

  1. From the main GoWit dashboard, click on Settings in the left-hand navigation menu.
  2. Then select Off-Site Settings from the submenu.

Step 2: Initiate Connection

The user is presented with a clear call-to-action.
Click the blue “Login with Facebook” button to begin the process.

Step 3: Authenticate with Facebook

A secure Facebook pop-up window appears.
The user is prompted to “Continue as [Their Name]”.
Click this button to confirm your identity.

Step 4: Grant Asset Permissions

Facebook will guide the user through a series of permission screens. The user must select the specific assets they want GoWit to manage:

  • Choose the Page: Select your Facebook Page.
  • Choose the Business: Select your Meta Business Account.
  • Choose the Instagram Account: Select your Instagram account.

Step 5: Review and Save Permissions

  1. Facebook presents a summary of the access GoWit is requesting. This includes permissions to manage ads, access insights, and more.
  2. Click “Save” to confirm and grant these permissions.
  3. A final confirmation message appears — “You’ve now linked GoWit to Facebook.”
    The user clicks “Got it.”
  4. The user is redirected back to the GoWit platform, where a success message confirms that the Meta account is successfully connected.

Part 2: Configuring Meta Assets in GoWit

After the account is connected, the user needs to specify which assets they want to actively use for their Meta campaigns within GoWit.

Step 1: Select Primary Ad Account

Back on the Off-Site Settings page, new dropdown menus are now visible:

  • Select your Marketplace Location. This will be used as a primary targeting location for the campaigns.
  • Select the Ad Account you want to use for your campaigns.
  • Click the “Save” button.

Step 2: Set Campaign Identity

After saving the ad account, the Identity section appears:

  • Select the specific Facebook Page and Instagram Account that will represent your marketplace in the ads.
  • This ensures brand consistency across campaigns.

Step 3: Connect the Meta Pixel

The Meta Pixel section appears next:

  • Select the correct Pixel from the dropdown.

Step 4: Finalize Setup

  1. Click the final “Save” button at the top of the page.
  2. A success message confirms “Settings saved successfully.”

Flow Complete ✅

The integration is now complete.

The marketplace’s Meta Account, Ad Account, Brand Identity (Facebook/Instagram pages), and Meta Pixel are all configured within GoWit.

They are now ready to create, manage, and optimize Off-Site campaigns directly from the platform.
